Best Family Christmas Gift Ideas

I don’t know about you but I really struggle with buying Christmas gifts for family and friends, particularly when there is more than one person in the family to buy for. I’ve put together a few ideas to help make the gift buying process a little easier. These ideas tend to favour experiences over “stuff”.

Best Family Christmas Gift Ideas

National Trust or English Heritage Family Membership

We absolutely love our annual National Trust and English Heritage annual membership. We visit so many gorgeous historic properties and think this a perfect gift. There are several membership choices available. National Trust Family membeship is £120 per year (£10.50 per month) which includes two adults and up to 10 children. English Heritage Family Membership is £105 per year (£8.75 per month) this includes two adults and up to 10 children.

Family Fun Days Out

Who doesn’t love a great family day out? Most theme parks and attractions offer vouchers, gift cards and gifting options. Here are just a few ideas:

  • Theme park entry
  • Day trip of a Steam Railway
  • Cinema Vouchers and some sweet treats to go with them
  • Trip to a local zoo or wildlife park
  • Entry to local historic house and garden
  • Day out at local inflatable park
  • Museum entry
  • Local comic con
  • Soft play entry

An Evening In Hamper

Why not put together a little hamper with a family DVD or online movie subscription gift card, popcorn, sweets and maybe a little tipple for the adults.

Family Meal at a Favourite Restaurant

Many restaurants offer gifting options now which means gifting a family culinary experience is easier than ever.

Theatre/Panto Tickets

This is maybe a slightly less budget conscious idea but a trip to the theatre or pantomine is such a wonderful family experience.

Sporting/Active Day Out

Why not consider a day out at the football, rugby, athletics, equestrian event, tennis, netball…….the list could go on! What about arranging an active day out such as the local parkrun, colour run, family tough mudder, horse riding, rollerskating, miniature golf, football golf, paintballing etc.

By no means is this list exhaustive but I hope it has given you a few fun ideas.
